The Highmark Foundation's mission of creating healthier communities represents the convergence of public health, system change and thought leadership.
Healthy Communities is the latest strategic category in the Foundation's portfolio of funding priorities. We are working in collaboration with various stakeholders, policymakers and community-based organizations to create a unified vision of what defines a healthy community. To that end, the Foundation will strengthen capacity-building efforts in high-need communities within its footprint to address health inequities and related interventions.
